A VISION FOR A BETTER FUTURE
ABOUT ME
Born and raised in Montreal, Quebec with my 3 younger siblings, my multi-cultural upbringing allowed me to learn and become fluent in English, French and Punjabi.
With much enthusiasm and excitement, I moved to Ottawa’s Capital region in 2000 to attend La Cite and entered the Police Foundations program.
With my studies completed in 2002 and letter of offer to serve as an Ottawa Police Officer my future in the city I came to love was sealed.
I learned very quickly the importance of family, fostering positive relationships, and building an environment that was safe and inclusive.
My 19-year career as an Ottawa Police Service, has shaped my conviction to promote diversity, one of Ottawa’s greatest strengths. In addition, I had the opportunity to develop an intimate knowledge of the complexities associated with balancing “what people need” vs. “what people want” vs. “what we can do to help”.
As a dedicated police officer, I have discharged my duties and responsibilities in a positive and respectful manner, always putting the interests of my community first.
Witnessing the current state of Ottawa, and the direction it has been taking, I decided that it was time for a fresh face to offer new, invigorating, and innovative ideas. Our city deserves to be efficiently managed, well respected, and transparent in the way it serves its citizens.
As a husband and father of two children, my focus has always been to promote a safe environment for not only my children, but for everyone of this great city.
